The Better Place for Ice Fishing

Rules

The forum is a discussion place for PP2 players, run by hobbyists. The rules are short because they are easy:

  1. Be civil. A disagreement can be fierce, but do not attack the person. Harassment, threats, discrimination and hate speech lead to a ban.
  2. Private messages are confidential but not outside the rules. Harassment, threats, scams and asking for passwords or bank details in a private message lead to a ban. Report a suspicious message: a reported message is shown to the moderators.
  3. Do not share other people's personal information. No real names, addresses, IP addresses or private messages without their permission.
  4. No spam or advertising. You may share links when they are relevant. A new member can add links after a few posts and one day.
  5. No illegal content. For example, sharing pirated copies and instructions for breaking into systems are removed. Your own tools are welcome as long as they do not violate other people's rights.
  6. Stay on topic. Pick a suitable category. A moderator may move a thread.
  7. Report, do not retaliate. If a post breaks the rules, use the Report link. Moderators handle the reports.

Moderation

Moderators can hide or delete posts, lock threads, and give a timeout or a ban. Every action is recorded in the moderation log together with the reason, and the person concerned is told what was done and why. If you disagree with a decision, write via the contact page.

Clans' own areas

A clan's own discussion areas are visible to the clan's members only. The same rules apply as elsewhere (no illegal content, no harassment). Clan leaders and officers moderate their own areas. The forum's moderators and administrators do not read clan areas routinely: they see only the thread that contains a reported post, and only while the report is being handled. The administrators can dissolve a clan if the rules are broken in its areas.

Protecting your account

You are responsible for your own account: use a strong password that you do not use elsewhere and do not share it with anyone. We recommend two-factor authentication (Settings). Tell the administrators immediately if you suspect your account has fallen into the wrong hands.

Age limit

You can sign up to the forum from the age of 13.

Unofficial

The forum is not an official service of Procyon Products. PP2 and its marks belong to Procyon Products.
